"Good evening ladies and gentlemen and thank you for tuning in for the news of today. A special bulletin in regards to the Solar Power Plant"
"Good evening everyone, my nake is Otto Flick. In this special bulletin: The European Leader, King of Norway, Anders, has given a statement in how the Solar Power Plant will affect the European union, together with added details about how it works and how it will affect our neighbors."
<Different video-feed>
<Behind the speaker booth, Anders stands Speaking.>
"Bræður og systur (Brothers and Sisters) of Europe, I bid you welcome, and thank you for arriving here for this wonderful event of good news. What has happened within the past few days was the first test out of many for our new source of fuel and power: The Solar Reactor Power Plant. Already this new source of power is capable of powering a large city for quite some time un due part of the use of mirror satellites and solar energy bouncing off the mirrors.
"Many of our top-of-the-line scientist and engineers have been hard at work to help build and create this new power plant as a way to help Europe in general to cut down on the use of fossil fuels and thus greenhouse gasses and other harmful byproducts into the atmosphere that has been harming our planet since well before the Dark Ages. Ever since 2012, we have been doing everything we could to upgrade from the prototype, using solar panels and molten salts, to provide power from the thermosolar power station in southern Spain.
"While it is still inefficient, it is a good far-cry, and a firm step in the right direction from the prototype we've had to rely in in conjunction with fossil fuels. I will now be taking questions."
<Many cameramen and photographers raise there hands and already a thunderous wave of voices can be heard. Anders points to one in the back, where the photographer and camera man speak into the microphone>
"Kommandant Anders, Does this mean we can only rely on just one power plant?"
<Anders chuckles before responding>
"Nei, langt því frá (No, far from it). What this means is that the facility works currently, but there is more to be done and the network that is compatible with these power plants not fully completed, and there will be a need for many more satellites to provide more power to all of Europe. This power plant in particular, once it and the network are completed as an example, could very well be used to power the entirety of Spain and Portugal, and as said, a promising future for other portions of Europe, like Scotland and Great Britain as a whole as well."
<Anders picks up a glass of water, drinking from it as he points to another, and the same thing happens. He puts the glass down>
"Kommadant Anders, what might this mean for others whom we have trade agreements with?"
<Anders smiles at the question>
Það gleður mig að þú spurðir (I'm so glad you asked that). For most of our trading partners, immediately this means nothing. In the short term, it means we will not be needing anywhere near as much foreign energy or resources. In the long term, however, it means we will no longer be importing and depending on foreign resources. The United States has their own means of creating power with the use of cold fusion, and so does China with the use of nuclear energy. As for our trading partners in Russia, however, I do believe this is our official heads up and warning that they find another avenue of coin and trade. I'd rather not see Russia fail because their main source of income has plummeted to where they cannot feed their families or afford commodities and luxuries. While we may still need the use oil to fuel and run our vehicles, we won't need anywhere near as much as we buy to power up the homes of Europe.
<Anders picks up a glass of water once again, drinking from it as he points to another, and the same thing happens. He puts the glass down, but refilling the cup>
"Kommadant Anders, what does this mean for climate change and global warming?"
"Það er góð spurning (That's a good question). What this power plant means is that, since we won't be using anywhere near as much coal and oil in the near future, the Earth's atmosphere as we know it will be able to break down the greenhouse gasses without adding more to the load of harmful chemicals than we've already added since the Middle Ages, and the Industrial Revolution.
"To wrap this up, I wish to thank and congratulate the scientists and Engineers that volunteers and gave up their free time to work on and contribute the new solar power plant. Secondly, Iwish to thank and congratulate those of you who went out of your way to this press conference. Let's keep up the good work for Europe."
<Anders smiled and powered, stepping off the platform. The entire press gave applause, and the microphones tune out. as others go to shake his hand to make small talk as before.>
<Back to the studio>
"Well that was a heart warming message from Kommadant Anders, I legitimately hope he leads Europe into the right and bright future he's promised. Now up next, let's switch over to Mr. Freelove with the winning numbers of EuroJackpot..."
