How to battle?
This might sound like a childish question, and surprisingly, it is. However, the choice is far from it. How do factions battle each other? There are a few options:- Battle Mechanics, provided by the Administrator. This is the official battle simulator, which calculates the loses between both parties. This system runs in Beta Modus, and updates might follow.
- Roleplaying. You basically roleplay the entire fight. Smaller dice rolls could be part of this.
- Playing the actual game. The outcome of the game determines a battle, or parts of larger battles/invasions. Custom made maps are allowed if every faction participating agrees on one.
The Battle Mechanics is based upon a MMORPG webbrowser game. It’s formula lies within. Due that this runs in Beta Modus, some balancing issues might occur and thus could be changed. Now, the last version of the Battle Mechanics is the official one. Ongoing battles might keep with their current version, although if both parties wishes to use the latest version, is allowed.
The Administrator will upload the official version. Calculations are done within an Excel Sheet. If participants doesn’t have Excel, please contact the Administrator or the opposing party. Perhaps one of them could help you out and post in your place the calculation sheets.
The Battle Mechanics could be used for smaller events, larger events, and massive invasions, although, the bigger the battle, the more scenarios occur within the battle. Advice would be to pick several important locations and ‘split’ a massive invasion into multiple ‘trooproutes/moments of battle’
Note:
Every player has a free choice in what battle system they would like to do. However, every involving party must agree on using the same system. The Administrator only supports the Battle Mechanics. Keep in mind, by roleplaying or playing the game itself, a decent surviving numbers and some roleplaying about the event must occur and provided. Also a decent, fitting, indication about how long the fights took, in terms of hours, days, weeks or months.
If this is not done properly, or very shady, unlikely used numbers or what so ever, the Administrator (as even other players could request it) could request for a better ‘outcome scenario’. If the involving parties will not comply or results are still not good in terms of ‘a possible and logical outcome’, the Administrator holds his right to order a redo of the event, perhaps even ordering to use the Battle Mechanics.
